I ended up with a sledge because I wanted something that required a little less TLC. Over the past two months I’ve been researching and trying to find the replacement. It’s not hard to work on, just time consuming. The thing is when you do start wrenching on it, it’s a pain because of the bulkhead/chassis design, complicated further by the cantilever suspension. I know the 2.0 is stronger so maybe it handles 6s well. Fragile or not? Mine is mostly stock and at 4s I’d say no. ![]() Recently I started looking around for something more modern as parts are getting harder to come by for the original brushless erevo.Īs plenty of others have said, it’s not the easiest car to drive but once you have it dialed in and are used to it there’s a ton of fun to be had. At 4s it has plenty of power and is a delight to drive. I have a Revo 1.0, and can’t really run at 6s without doing damage to the diffs. though i think im almost do for a new set of tires. Other than that, I've only needed to replace the wing. I snapped one a-arm and replaced with a full set of RPM arms. Ive had my ERevo VXL (2.0) for 2 years now. These people are the hobbys mustang drivers of the world.Ĭertain cars are built & designed for certain things.Kraton, XMAXX, Maxx. "Oh had a revo, it broke aaaall the time. It's fast and insanely responsive for its size & weight, its suspension is superior. It can handle large, long jumps just as well as other trucks, AS LONG AS YOURE SKILLED AND KNOW HOW TO CONTROL YOUR LANDINGS. If you're looking to drop it out of the sky (surely you've seen skatepark videos) or bounce it off poles, curbs or trees, its not the car for you. The erevo 2.0 is awesome but rear of chassy always breaks if you don't land perfect. If youre new to the hobby, id say no, dont.
